About Us
Cormorant & Coast Gardens provides specialist garden care, maintenance and improvement for rural and coastal properties across the Rame Peninsula, Plymouth, South East Cornwall and selected locations from Fowey to Kingsbridge.
We work with gardens shaped by coast, countryside and season — from exposed coastal plots and large rural gardens to distinctive private outdoor spaces that require thoughtful, reliable care. Our approach combines skilled craftsmanship with sustainable methods, helping gardens remain practical, resilient, beautiful and suited to their setting.
Specialist care for rural and coastal gardens
Rural and coastal gardens often need more than standard maintenance. Salt-laden winds, exposed positions, heavy soils, steep ground, mature planting and larger spaces all require experience, judgement and a practical understanding of place.
We provide tailored garden care and improvement for clients who want their outdoor spaces to be well maintained, carefully developed and managed with long-term resilience in mind.
Our work spans gardening and landscaping, with a focus on planting, pruning, coastal garden maintenance, garden improvements and crafted features using natural stone, hardwood and other durable materials chosen for longevity and sustainability.
We favour methods and materials that sit comfortably within the landscape, age well over time and support the character of each garden. Where appropriate, we also incorporate habitat-conscious gardening, native planting and features that support biodiversity without compromising the structure, usability or beauty of the space.
Where we work
We are based around the Rame Peninsula and provide specialist garden care, maintenance and improvement across Torpoint, Plymouth, Millbrook, Kingsand, Cawsand, Cremyll, Antony, Crafthole, Sheviock, St Germans, Saltash, Liskeard and surrounding villages within approximately 30 minutes of our base.
For properties within this local area, we offer both half-day and full-day bookings, depending on the work required.
For rural and coastal properties further afield, we generally work on a full-day booking basis. This includes selected properties in and around Fowey, Polruan, Looe, Polperro, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Totnes, Dartmouth, Wembury, Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo, Bigbury and Thurlestone.
Working on a full-day basis outside our immediate local area allows us to keep travel proportionate, dedicate proper time to the garden and deliver a more considered standard of work.
Where shorter visits are requested outside our immediate local area, a travel contribution may apply.
For larger or more distinctive gardens slightly outside these areas, we are happy to discuss the project where the work is a good fit for our specialist approach.
